Oklahoma Show - UPDATE

April 25, 2011
“I have really awful news. After all day of desperately trying to get to you, Oklahoma, I'm going to have to cancel tonight's show. It breaks my heart, but it is entirely out of my hands. Severe storms in the Midwest have made it so I have not been able to make it out of Texas all day. I’ll be posting information on my site and on the venue’s website ASAP on when I’ll be able to reschedule this. I am beyond sorry for this and promise to make this up to you guys.”

This is a long shot, but I'm going to try. I was at the concert yesterday and the local radio station was there. They were having a contest and whoever won got meet and greet wristbands for after the show. Well, I ended up dancing my ass off and winning!! When news came around that the show was canceled, I admit, I was bummed but I knew that I would still get the use the band next time, however, I was terribly wrong. I worked hard to the get the wrist band, and I'm still wearing it. Please, help a guy out!

According to flightstats.com, no delays or cancellations from either DFW or Love Field to Tulsa yesterday. My daughter has looked forward to this for 3 months. It is all she could talk about. She went shopping and purchased your style of clothes and spent a couple hours getting ready yesterday morning. They went 8 hours early and waited in line so she could be in front pit area. You look very tired in your apology video. Maybe from being up all night partying? Too tired to perform in some hick town called Tulsa in Oklahoma... wherever that is? I don't buy your excuse and many others do not either. Yeah, you are in an airport but who knows where. You have lost a lot of fans in Oklahoma. IF you come back, you have a LOT of making up to do to win them back.

I understand the price of gas and tickets and the wasted time. And why people would be upset. But damn she gave a genuine apology. What celbs even make a video on their own time to apologize for not making it to a concert? I dont think she wants to fly while there are tornados left and right. Ive gained even more respect for Ke$ha after watching this video. <3

why are people talking down about her? its like some people expect for a pilot to fly a plane with a hundred people through a storm of tornados...just so they dont have to have a show cancelled

i mean her video was taken inside the airport (you can clearly see it behind her) and you can clearly tell shes heartbroken about it (shes getting choked up, and sounds like shes holding back tears)

if she was the type of artist who would cancel a show just was too hungover to get out of bed...or just decided on a whim to do something else that day, then there would be far more shows cancelled (just look at alot of bands from the 80s/early 90s where bands were either on drugs or were alcoholics)

being that a flight only takes a couple hours, im sure they waited until they absolutely knew for sure they wouldnt be able to make it in time (she could have left dallas as the gates were opening, and could have probably made it to the venue by the time she was scheduled to take the stage)
and if thats the case, that meant that she probably didnt want to "play it safe" and just cancel early, incase she found a flight out of dallas afterwards
she even says that she tried to get 3 other flights out, but couldnt make it

all i see is an artist who is VERY dedicated to her fans, and wont cancel a show on them unless its the ONLY option

I am a mother of two girls who adore music and we have made it a habit of getting friends together and going to the hottest concerts. I must admit we have been to so many but I have to say the excitement of going to Ke$ha was through the roof with these girls! In fact half of us paid triple what the ticket price should have been due to the fast sell out. It was buying the perfect things to wear, face painting, glitter everywhere and standing in line for over four hours just to have a good view. We happen to know the girl that was the first person in line at 8:00am in the morning now that is deduction you have very great fans. She told us when we got there she got to see you that morning and she was going to get to go back stage because she was the first one there. So when we heard that it was canceled after standing in the line even the extra hour after doors were suppose to open, you can imagine the let down of these little girls who’s floor wrist bands were now garbage and all that wait was wasted. Now what added insult to injury was the fact that many think you were here in Tulsa and it was a possible partied too hard issue rather than a, you couldn’t make it due to weather and airlines. My 12 year old after hearing that said I really love her but this makes me lose a lot of respect for her as an artist. I hope I am way out of line with this and you really were just stuck and it honestly was unavoidable. But if that was not the case then I hope you understand the impact your actions have on impressible fans who adore you!

I understand bad weather, but we just drove a 6 hr drive to stand in line 3 hrs! And with the price of gas and the cost of things now days,REALLY there should be a better plan for when you are booking concerts ,C;mon show up the day or night before! This wasnt for me it was for my son with autism who deserved a better understanding!! Im just glad he is so kindhearted that he still loves you and your music!

I'm very sorry that you're stuck on an airport ):
We waited for hours just to see your amazing performance, and it breaks my heart that it didn't turn out! We love you much and hope that you come soon soon soon!
We're waiting for you love!!!

Just made it home from Tulsa. I understand things can happen that are out of our control, but I drove over 2 hours to stand in line for countless hours to get the coveted wrist bands for the floor with a co-worker & our two 9 yr old daughters to see you tonight, only to be told the show was canceled. Several of the security guards were very rude & it wasn't handled very well on their part. When I asked if our "marked" tickets & wrist bands would be honored, I was told maybe, just bring them with you. It wouldn't be such a big deal, but my daughter's birthday is May 10th & my friend's daughter got her tickets for her birthday 2 weeks ago. All they wanted was to see you & they were ecstatic to get the wrist bands. I hope you re able to reschedule the show soon & they are able to honor the wrist bands............All my daughter wants is as she puts it, "get close to Ke$ha & rock it" Hope you make it to your next show safely. -Ashley
