Why I think Ke$ha is better than Lady GaGa
I used to be a HUGE Lady GaGa fan. In early 2008, I discovered her long before everyone else in my country (England) and adored her quietly. I loved how refreshing her music and look was in comparison to the endless stream of R&B and cheese-pop that was about around the 2004-2008 era.
Soon, once she became one of the biggest musicians on the planet, I began to dislike Lady GaGa. Not only did I start to think that she was acting like an self-glorified, pretencious fool in interviews, her new music was far from impressing me.
The Fame was interesting, she had a unique style of music and fashion - it was definable and you could tell it was her own. When she became popular and release The Fame Monster, it got ridiculous. She changes in every music video, so much so, she doesn't have any style that's her own - she's just a mish-mash of a load of other people. It seems ingenuine, fake and uninteresting...she's just openly trying to shock the public and appear controversial and "new age". It's annoying.
And that's not to mention the abomination that is her fans. Ke$ha, Rihanna, Christina Aguilera, Adam Lambert, Emily Osment, Miley Cyrus, Shontelle, Alexandra Burke, Ellie Goulding, Katy Perry, Kelis, Nicki Minaj have all been accused by fans of GaGa of "copying" her. Since when did GaGa invent being quirky or different? She hasn't invented anything. Nothing at all.
Ke$ha is herself. She has a style that seems genuine and from a real place. She's an actual personality - not just a load of stereotypes merged into one body of foul beeing. I love that she is who she is and hasn't changed for anything. She writes about real life, real youth and real things...Lady GaGa writes only to be controversial and "arty". It's crap.
I'm done with GaGa.
